This was the last assignment that was due for this class. It is a summary of what we did on the project. The project lasted about two to three weeks. It had four different parts to it. We all worked on each part of it so that we could finish with a good grade.
This part of the project we each needed to hand in a summary of what we did on the project. Also, we needed to hand in our handout from our presentation.
I do not think about that this was a very good project as a whole, but I do think that there were good parts with it. I think that the project was a bunch of repetition. The parts that I thought were beneficial were the proposal. However, I did not think that we should have to write a summary of what we did when we explained what we did twice before that. Also, in the weblog we have to talk about what we did and thought about the project.
Other than that, I think that the project was a good thing. It was one of the better group projects that I have done. My group was really organized. We got everything done before the time that it needed to be done and we worked well together. Another thing that I liked about the project was the proposal itself. I feel like that is something that we would do in the real world.
That is what I liked about this project. It is a real life project one that I can see myself doing in the real world.

There were two parts of our project that could not be uploaded. They were the newsletter and the advertisement. They were made in Microsoft Publisher and WordPress does not upload them.
This was a long group project. I just want to say that my group members were the best ones that were in the class. We were an awesome group that got everything done before the time that it was supposed to be done. I am going to go through each part of the project and describe what it did for our project.
Our projects goal was to get the word out on the Texas Tech grade distribution website. It helps students pick which teacher they should get for their next semesters classes. The reason that we picked this subject to do the report about was because not many students know about it.
I think it was one of the better group projects done in the class. The problem was well defined. The solution was also well defined. We had a great plan set up to get the word out. We made a poster, a newsletter, a letter to the Student Government Association, a letter to the advisors, and a sample survey.
We did all of these things so that we could make it very easy for the Student Government Association to get the word out to the students. That was what our proposal memo was going to do.
This was one of the better groups that I have worked with throughout the time that I have been in school.

This was the first assignment for the group project that we had to do separate parts and combine them for a single assignment. That was one of the goals of this assignment. The other goal of this assignment was to write short detailed sentences. That would show our progress on the project that we were working on.
When we broke off into our separate parts to do the project everything was looking good. We knew what we had to do and when we needed to do it. When we split off I start on the survey, the poster and I started working on the PowerPoint presentation. Lyndsay made our advertisement, completed the PowerPoint presentation, wrote the cover memo, and finished revising the entire proposal report. Ashley wrote the two sample letters to the SGA and to James Baumgartner. Since we all know each other prior to the project we worked really well with each other.
We finished this part of the project before it needed to be done. We handed it in early and got it back so that we could revise it. We saved a lot of time by getting the project handed in early and were not so overwhelmed that weekend. That was a good thing because Ashley and I went out of town that weekend.
In conclusion, it was a good thing that we could get the project done early. Also, it was a good thing that we knew each other and could work well together and stay on top of our assignments.

The proposal plan memo was the first memo that we wrote for this group assignment. The memo was written so that we could clearly define who was going to do what part of the project. Our goal was to show who was going to do what each week and make sure that the assignments would be handed in early for grading. The reason that we wanted to do that was so that we could get the best grade that we could get on this project.
I think this memo was very beneficial to write. It drew out what each person was going to write and when they were going to do it. Each member in the group knew what they had to do and when to do it and we could look back at the memo to see what we had to do.
One thing that I did notice about this memo was that sometimes things had to change and we had to switch things around. I went out of town one weekend and so we had to do things earlier than we planned. It was alright and everything turned out fine. The part that we had to do earlier than planned was the presentation. I started it in class and I worked on it outside. I sent it to Lyndsay and Ashley and they finished what I started.
That is why I think that this memo was a good thing to have written. I was a good guideline of what needed to get done for this project to come together.

This was one of my favorite assignments that we did this semester. I said that before in the instruction selection reflection. I really enjoyed what I learn about instructions that I just took for granted. I did not know that there were different audiences for a set of instructions.
When I was working on this project I was confused about what the goal was. The day in class when you brought in the Lego toy and told us about the instructions made it clear for me. After that I understood what to do.
The first thing that I did was find the instructions. They were to retile a bathroom floor. The audience that I choose to analyze was men in their early forties. I choose that audience because that was who I thought the instructions would be written for. The second thing that I did was write the memo. On the past assignments I did not know if I was doing them right. However on this assignment I thought that I was doing it right. I knew the goal of the assignment and how to execute it.
When I was finished writing the memo I edit it. I tried to make sure I did not have any fragments or grammatical errors. The instruction analysis assignment was the assignment that I got the best grade on. On the others, I usually got low to mid eighties. On this assignment I got a low ninety. I tried hard to make this assignment good and I think I did a good job on it.
In conclusion, I really enjoyed this assignment and I tried hard. It was my favorite assignment this year.
